Almost halfway to goal!

I am beyond excited to announce that as of noon on September 14th, our team has raised a total of $450 through online and in person donations for the Alzheimers Association!

We are almost half way to reaching our goal of $1,000.

Thank you to all of those who have donated and showed your support.

It means a lot and is very appreciated.

Memory Walk 2010 was a great sucess

Our offiical donations total for 2010 is $900

Bringing our 3 year total to

$1,890!

We have not only matched, but passed our goals each year.
Our goal was $750 this time and we hit $900

Words can not expressed how happy, proud and thankful I am of all the money we have raised for the Alzheimer s Allocations.

We have had an amazing few days filled with donations.

Our current total of donations as of
10/22 at 1:20 pm is

$700!!!!!

We are only $50 away from our fund raising goal!

I just have to say how truly awesome it is that we are so close to our goal. For the first 2 years that we participated, the goal was lower...set at $250 and then $500.

The first year we raised - $340
Second year - $650

Now this year we have already raised $700 and still have another day to go!

I set our goal high in hopes in reaching it but knowing that it was going to be hard. But, thanks to the insane amount of support it looks like it is very possible for us to meet our goal.


it even looks as though we are going to get nice weather for the walk on Sunday.

questions regarding donations

I've had a few questions about ways to donate besides over the internet so I just wanted to provide you with other options.

Online - If you go to the team website you can donate there using a credit card.

Check or cash donation - If you prefer to make a donation using cash or check you have 2 options
1) You may mail your donation directly to my house. Then I will bring it to the walk personally and hand it in. If you are doing this please makes sure you mail your donation with enough time that I will have it by the day of the walk.
2) You may mail your donation directly to the Alzheimer Association, NYC chapter. Please go to

There you can fill out the donation form that must go along with the donation itself. Rememebr to write that the donation is for The Murphy Family team please.

All checks should be payable to the Alzheimers Association, New York City Chapter.



And if you are my friend on facebook, you received an event invitation regarding Memory Walk yesterday. That is another way to keep updated.

Thanks for all the support. It is amazing how many positive comments and support I have received in less than 24 hours of speading the news via facebook. It means a lot.

Introduction

Hello everyone. I have set up this blog for those who are interested in following the progress of the Murphy Family in their efforts to raise money and awareness of The Alzheimer Associations 2010 Memory Walk!

I am pleased to announce that plans are already underway for Memory Walk 2010. I am currently in the process of setting up the team web page through the Alzheimer's Association and will post all of the information regarding that as soon as it is complete.

I have also created an email address for the team. You will be able to send in any questions that you have regarding Memory Walk to this address and I will answer them to the best of my ability. Once the team is established, I will also be using this address as a way of communication about the event.
